A fraction of the cost
The same devices, the same imaging platforms, the same international guidelines — at a fraction of what the identical procedure costs in Europe, the Gulf or North America. Your estimate is given in writing before you fly.
Medical tourists welcome
From complexity to clarity.
You have been told your case is complicated. Send it here first — the angiogram, the echo, the reports — and get a clear, honest answer about what can be done, before you book a single flight.

What you are actually booking
From the first message to the follow-up call after you are home, one team plans the whole thing around your case, your dates and your budget — and puts the price of all of it in writing before you commit to anything.
There are no package tiers and no fixed itinerary. The plan is written after your angiogram has been read, around your anatomy, your other conditions, and how long you can realistically be away from home.
The same devices, the same imaging platforms and the same international guidelines used in European centres. It costs less here because everything costs less here — not because anything has been left out of your treatment.
Hospital, procedure, devices, physician fees, transport and accommodation — quoted together, in writing, up front. If the plan has to change on medical grounds, you hear it before anything is done, never on the invoice afterwards.
The pathway
Six steps, each confirmed with you in writing before the next begins. You will know the diagnosis, the plan and the cost while you are still at home.
01/ 06
Start with step oneSend the angiogram — the CD or the video files, not only the written report — with your echo, ECG, recent labs and any discharge summaries. Over WhatsApp or email, whichever you already use.
He reads the images himself, frame by frame. Where a case needs discussion, a video call is arranged with you — and with your own cardiologist too, if you would like them there.
What is actually wrong, what he recommends, the alternatives worth weighing, the realistic risks, the expected length of stay, and a full cost estimate. With no obligation to travel.
An invitation letter for your visa, flights timed around your admission, a car waiting at arrivals and a hotel near the hospital — arranged for you and one companion.
Admission, pre-procedure workup and the intervention itself in an accredited Cairo cardiac center, performed by Dr. Mansour with an English-speaking team beside you.
A short recovery window before you are cleared to fly, every report and image prepared in English, and follow-up directly with him once you are back with your own doctor.
What patients travel for
Catheter-based interventions performed through the wrist or the groin. For most patients that means no open-heart surgery, no sternotomy, and a hospital stay measured in nights rather than weeks.
Minimally invasive — no open-heart surgery for most patientsFor patients told they are too old, too frail or too high-risk for open valve surgery. The new valve is delivered through an artery while the heart keeps beating.
Chronic total occlusions, calcified and bifurcation lesions, left main and multi-vessel disease — the anatomy most often referred onward, or refused, elsewhere.
Opening a narrowed coronary artery and holding it open with a drug-eluting stent, usually through the wrist, with most patients home the next day.
Why here
The same devices, the same imaging platforms, the same international guidelines — at a fraction of what the identical procedure costs in Europe, the Gulf or North America. Your estimate is given in writing before you fly.
Complex coronary and structural cases are scheduled within weeks. When an artery is critically narrowed or a valve is failing, that difference is the entire point.
Direct flights into Cairo from across the Gulf, Africa and Europe, and a straightforward entry process for most nationalities — with an invitation letter issued for your visa application.
Modern catheterization labs, hybrid theaters and full intensive-care backup in accredited Cairo hospitals — the environment complex intervention actually requires.

Credentials
Not a coordinator, not a summary sheet. The cardiologist who would perform your procedure is the one reviewing your images.
Chronic total occlusions, heavily calcified vessels, high-risk anatomy, and patients who have already been turned down for surgery elsewhere.
TAVI for aortic stenosis in patients whose age or risk profile makes open surgery a poor trade.
If traveling will not change your outcome, he will tell you so before you spend anything on it.

Your path
What to prepare
Missing something? Send what you have — he will tell you exactly what to request from your hospital.
Sending your medical information does not replace a medical examination and does not mean that a specific procedure is appropriate for you. The final medical decision is made after evaluation by the doctor.
While you are here
Care does not begin at the hospital door. The practical side of the trip is arranged around your admission date, for you and one companion.
Send your flight number and someone is waiting at arrivals in Cairo International, with a car to take you straight to your hotel.
Every hospital visit, scan and follow-up appointment covered by a private driver. You will never have to negotiate a taxi in a language you do not speak.
A hotel or serviced apartment a short drive from the hospital, sized for you and your companion, booked at negotiated rates.
An official invitation letter for your visa application, issued as soon as your treatment dates are confirmed.
A single person for admission paperwork, appointment timing, pharmacy runs, and translation between you, the ward and the medical team.
Discharge summary, procedure report, imaging and medication plan prepared in English, so your own cardiologist can take over seamlessly.
Travel and accommodation are arranged on your behalf with vetted local partners and quoted transparently. They are never bundled into a medical fee.
Where the work happens
Dr. Mansour Farouk El-Behwashy performs catheter-based cardiac procedures at these Cairo hospitals. Which one is right for you depends on your case and your dates — decided with you after your reports have been reviewed, never before.

Admission, the procedure and the nights that follow all happen inside the same cardiac unit, with the team that performed it. You are never moved between centres mid-treatment.

Reviews left on Google by patients and their families after treatment in Cairo.
May God bless you and your knowledge, Doctor. My grandmother was very ill, and all the doctors said that her condition was critical and that the surgery was very risky. By God's grace and thanks to you, the procedure was a success. We are truly grateful for all the care and effort you put into helping her. May God bless you, guide you, and keep you safe.
Menna Fawy
One of the most respected interventional cardiologists in Egypt. Thank you so much, Doctor. You performed a coronary angioplasty procedure for me through a CTO intervention. You have my deepest respect and gratitude. May God increase you in knowledge and bless you with good health.
Magdy Zaki
A great listener, patient, reassuring, and always smiling. I was convinced by his assessment of my medical condition. He has all the necessary cardiac tests available, yet he did not ask me to have my tests done at his clinic. Such genuine and ethical behavior is rare nowadays.

Published as patients wrote them, translated where needed. Every heart is different — nothing here is a promise of a particular outcome for your case.

A written estimate is prepared for your specific case before you travel, covering the hospital stay, the procedure, the devices used and the physician fees. Costs move with the complexity of the anatomy and the devices required, which is exactly why no honest figure can be quoted before the angiogram has been reviewed.
For a diagnostic catheterization or a straightforward angioplasty, most patients plan five to seven days in total: arrival and workup, the procedure, one to two nights in hospital, then a short recovery window before flying. Complex intervention and TAVI usually need closer to ten to fourteen days.
That is the intended order. Send your angiogram and reports, receive a written opinion and a plan, and only then decide whether traveling makes sense. Some patients are told their existing local plan is sound and that they do not need to come at all.
Requirements depend on your nationality, and many travelers are eligible for a visa on arrival or an e-visa. Once your treatment dates are confirmed, an official invitation letter is issued to support your application.
Consultations are held in Arabic, English or French. Your coordinator translates for the ward and nursing team, and every report you take home is prepared in English.
Yes, and it is encouraged. Accommodation and transport are arranged for one companion as standard, and a larger group can be accommodated on request.
You leave with your discharge summary, procedure report, images and medication plan in English. Follow-up continues directly with Dr. Mansour by video call, and he will correspond with your local cardiologist if you would like him to.

From complexity to clarity
A written opinion on your angiogram costs you a message. Traveling before you have one costs a great deal more.
